Nikolay Pehlivanov is a Deputy Chairman of the Regional Policy and Local Self-government Commission at the National Assembly of Bulgaria.
He is an engineer, who has specialized in industrial and civil engineering and a member of the parliamentary group of 'Ataka'.
Among his other occupations are: Deputy Chairman of the temporary committee for investigation of expenses, appointments and deals, carried out during the last year of Sergei Stanishev’s term of office. He is also a member of the friendship groups of 'Bulgaria – Great Britain', 'Bulgaria – Vietnam', 'Bulgaria – Indonesia' (chairman) and 'Bulgaria – Italy'.
