Associate Professor, Doctor and Engineer, Nikola Kaloyanov is the Deputy Rector of research and development at the Technical University of Sofia.
He is also managing the Energy Analysis Center.
In 1979, he graduated ‘Heat Engineering’ at the Technical University of Sofia and later specialized in ‘Mathematics’. Since 1980 he had been teaching ‘Heat Engineering’ and for 10 years starting in 1995, Nikola Kaloyanov had been in charge of the ‘Heat Engineering’ Department at the university.
He has taken part in a number of internationally funded projects throughout Bulgaria, Moldova, Belarus, Ukraine, Macedonia, Vietnam and China. Mr. Kaloyanov is the co-author of manuals and textbooks on heat engineering and software.
He has participated in the drafting of the new energy legislation and is representing energy efficiency work groups and expert committees.
