The new minister of regional development Rosen Plevneliev comes from the construction business where he was CEO of Lindner Immobilien Management - an affiliate of the German holding Lindner building and managing the biggest investment projects in the real property sector in Bulgaria for the last 20 years - Business Park Sofia on 220,000 sq. m site and 330,000 sq. m gross-floor area, adn Residential Park Sofia on 235,000 sq. m site and 115,000 sq. m gross-floor area.

He is a graduate from the Technical University - Sofia from 1989.

In 1990 he founded Iris International, the first Bulgarian building company certified by ISO 9001:2000 and having more than 80 completed projects in its record in Bulgaria and Germany.

Plevneliev is a member of the board of directors of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria.

Among the basic demands of the business are a stronger dialogue and transparency in the work of the central and local authorities, better accessibility of the residential property for ordinary citizens through introduction of financial schemes and stimuli for buyers, and many others.
