Glavbolgarstroy building company will complete the landfill in Pernik after a public procurement order procedure. The project is directly funded by the European operational programme Environment. The investments are EUR 11m. Currently the project is 35% completed with funding from ISPA. The works started in 2003 but later stopped due to problems with the ownership of the site. The land is 140,000 sq. m and 20 years operational term. It is planned for the waste from six municipalities - Pernik, Tran, Breznik, Radomir, Kovachevtsi and Zemen.
