On 17 June the general directorate Regional Policy at the European Policy sent to Road Infrastructure national agency a letter allowing contracts by Transport and Regional Development operational programmes. The earmarked funding is EUR 1.24bn. By Regional Development the financing is BGN 501m, from July will start the launch of tenders for the announced 14 projects. For Transport programme projects the sum is EUR 990m, the procedures will start after the end of the environmental impact assessment update. The deadline for ISPA cannot be extended said the vice-premier Meglena Plugchieva, it is supposed to end on 31 Dec. 2010 and this is final. The news was released at a visit of a 5-km section of Lyulin highway (on the picture). The works of the whole projects for EUR 148m have been completed 38%, the funding has been allowed again a month ago.
